• The idea for Revvtch Technologies and our flagship platform, BigLocal.in, was born from a simple observation in my own neighborhood. Like many families, we've always valued our relationship with local vendors, especially our vegetable vendor, Ashok. His hand-picked produce and reliable home deliveries built a trust that went far beyond online convenience or discounts.
• But one morning, I saw something that deeply concerned me. While multi-tasking and managing his busy queue, Ashok took an order from my wife over the phone. When I asked him how he remembered it all, he replied, "I recorded the conversation."
• He then shared his greatest fear: his decade-old business was down by almost 50%. The younger generation was moving online, and he didn't know how he could survive. "My kids are growing up," he said, "and I'm very worried."
• That was my moment of awakening. I had been planning to launch a different retail platform, but this conversation shifted my focus completely. It was clear that millions of local vendors were losing their livelihoods to the digital wave, and no one was providing them with the tools to compete.
• That's when BigLocal was born. We started with a clear mission: to empower local vendors with the digital tools they need to sustain and grow their businesses. What began as a simple idea for vegetable sellers (originally as subziwale.com) has grown into a comprehensive platform with over 24 product and service categories, supporting nearly every kind of local business.
• We are hopeful that our efforts will make a real difference, helping to bring back the smiles to millions of vendors and their families who have always been there for us.
